«복선직망» 절대예력과 서울의 다차원 대화
오늘날 세계화된 동시대 미술 생태계에서 국제 교류는 더 이상 일방적인 「작품의 해외 진출」에 머물지 않는다. 보다 깊이 있고, 상호적이며 지속 가능한 네트워크 공생(網絡共生)의 방향으로 나아가고 있다. 대만 절대공간 (絕對空間, Absolute Space for the Arts)은 오랫동안 지역 예술의 기반을 다져 왔으며, 동시에 국제를 향해 시야를 넓혀 왔다.
본 프로젝트는 『복선직망(複線織網 Pluralistic Weaving)』을 핵심 정신으로 한다. 복선(複線)은 역사와 문화, 창작의 여러 맥락이 서로 교차함을 상징하며, 직망(織網)은 현장 방문과 심층적인 대화를 통해 점처럼 흩어진 예술공간을 서로 연결하여 탄탄한 국제적 네트워크의 공생을 구축하는 과정을 의미한다. 이번 교류 프로젝트는 서울을 핵심 거점으로 삼아 현장 조사와 협력적 대화를 진행하고, 절대공간(絕對空間, Absolute Space for the Arts)을 위한 국제협력의 「다차원적 통로」를 열어 예술촌 교류의 국제적 경계를 더욱 넓혀 나가고자 한다.
In the contemporary globalized art ecosystem, international exchange has moved beyond the one-way model of “exporting artworks” toward a deeper, reciprocal, and sustained form of “networked symbiosis.” Taiwan’s Absolute Space for the Arts has long been committed to cultivating local artistic energy while actively extending its perspective toward the international art community.
This project is centered on the concept of “Pluralistic Weaving.” “Pluralistic” symbolizes the interweaving of multiple historical, cultural, and artistic trajectories, while “weaving” refers to connecting individual art organizations into a resilient international network through on-site visits and in-depth dialogues. Focusing on Seoul, South Korea as the primary site, this exchange program will foster cross-border collaboration through field research and collaborative dialogue, opening up “multidimensional channels” for Absolute Space for the Arts and expanding the boundaries of exchange and interaction among art villages and artistic communities.

이번 교류는 서울을 답사하고 대만 타이난의 문화적 맥락과 함께 살펴보며, 예술 창작과 물리적 공간이 맺는 긴밀한 관계를 깊이 탐색한다. 대담에서는 제도권 미술체계 밖에서 독립 예술 공간이 어떻게 기존의 틀을 넘어 동시대 미술의 생산과 전위적인 예술 실험과 담론을 위한 중요한 장으로 기능하는지에 주목한다. 또한 자본 중심의 도시 변화 속에서 양국의 독립예술기관이 어떠한 방식으로 운영의 지속성을 유지하고, 다양한 전시·공연, 레지던시 프로그램, 커뮤니티 활동을 통해 창의성을 지속적으로 확장하는지에 대해 국제적인 경험을 심도 있게 공유한다.
