Wearable Robot Experience Center
티로보틱스는 반도체 및 LED 패널 제작에 필수적인 특수 로봇을 개발·제작하는 기업으로, 스위스 로봇 전문 업체 마이오스위스(Myoswiss)와 협력해 착용형 로봇, 즉 웨어러블 로봇 개발을 진행해왔다. 대표 제품인 〈바이오닉 팬츠〉는 일상에서 착용이 가능하며, 보행이나 거동이 불편한 사용자의 움직임을 보조하거나 재활을 지원하는 목적을 위해 개발된 헬스케어 웨어러블 로봇이다.
티로보틱스의 의뢰로 구축된 이 체험관은 헬스케어 웨어러블 로봇을 직접 착용하고 경험할 수 있는 공간으로, 예술적 공간 해석을 바탕으로 설계되었다. 일반적으로 인간과 로봇의 결합을 체험하는 트랜스휴머니즘적 공간은 실험실이나 병원을 연상시키는 기능 중심의 환경으로 구성되는 경우가 많다.
이 체험관은 그러한 관습적 이미지를 벗어나, 미술관이나 요가원과 같은 편안한 공간을 참조해 사용자가 심리적 부담 없이 로봇과 상호작용할 수 있도록 감각의 설계에서부터 접근했다. 기술을 전면에 드러내기보다, 인간의 몸과 감각이 자연스럽게 로봇과 결합되는 경험에 초점을 맞춘 공간으로 구성되었다.
T-Robotics is a company specializing in the development and production of advanced robotic systems essential to semiconductor and LED panel manufacturing. In collaboration with the Swiss robotics company Myoswiss, the company has expanded its research into wearable robotics. One of its key products, Bionic Pants, is a healthcare-oriented wearable robot designed for everyday use, supporting mobility and assisting rehabilitation for individuals with limited movement.
Commissioned by T-Robotics, this experience center was designed as a space where visitors can directly wear and engage with healthcare wearable robots through an artistic interpretation of space. Conventionally, transhumanist environments that explore the integration of humans and robots tend to adopt clinical, function-driven settings reminiscent of laboratories or hospitals.
Departing from this norm, the experience center draws references from spaces such as museums and yoga studios, prioritizing sensory comfort and approachability. Rather than foregrounding technology itself, the space is structured to allow the human body and perception to merge naturally with robotic assistance, emphasizing embodied experience over technical display.
